Jack Knight visits a sinister circus outside Opal City where he finds a most unsettling freak show--one including a blue-skinned "geek" attraction who may be a former Starman! But Jack's investigation is met with a savage attack from the circus's grotesque performers.

While making his rounds for good deals in Turk County, Jack comes across a circus operated by a Mr. Bliss, and a "Cosmic Geek", Mikaal Tomas.
